Google Chrome is a tab based, extensible web browser developed by Google Inc. It uses WebKit rendering engine and is an opensource project. Google Chrome is advertise as the lightest, fastest and stable web browser. You can experience this by yourself. Its design implements a minimal look. So the main interface includes back, forward, reload, home, bookmark, go and cancel buttons.
It was released as a beta version in the September of 2008 and soon gained popularity. As of 1 March 2010, Chrome was the third most widely used browser, with 5.61% of worldwide usage share of web browsers, see the share by yourself HERE.
Still the default download page of the Google Chrome browser, for Windows, provide you the online and single user installer. Rather than this you might want to use the standard installer which will install the Google Chrome browser system wide.
So here I will mention two methods to download and install Google Chrome system wide. You need to uninstall any instance of the Google Chrome browser from all user accounts on the system or let us consider that we are installing the Chrome browser for the first time on the system, for these methods to work correctly.
Method 1:Method 1 is recommended by Google to install Chrome browser system wide. Go to the Google Pack page and install via Google Pack downloader. This way you can install the Chrome browser system wide, as well as other apps recommended by Google.
Method 2:This method is rather simple, just go to THIS page at Google and get the standalone-offline installer which will install Google Chrome 'system wide'.
